Online testing platform

Exams drawn from a question bank with a different set per candidate, marked the moment they submit, with camera and screen lock against cheating. Results the same day.

A student takes an exam on a laptop in a bright room: a multiple-choice question, time left, camera on, screen locked, score. Tutoring schools & exam bodies
“Every exam means printing papers, booking rooms and marking by hand. Results take a week, and the online tool we tried couldn’t stop cheating.”

The problem

At most institutes an exam is still a paper process from end to end. The teacher writes it, the exams office books rooms and invigilators, markers go through each script by hand, and someone types the scores into Excel. Results reach candidates a week later, and nobody can say which question most people got wrong, because nobody counted.

The online tool the institute tried solved the room problem and opened a new one. Candidates opened a second window to search for answers, shared the paper in a group chat mid-exam or had someone else sit it for them. The results could not be trusted, and the institute went back to exam halls.

How we solve it

We build a testing system where each candidate gets their own set from the same bank, drawn by topic and difficulty to the teacher’s settings, timed per question or per paper, and marked on submission for multiple choice. During the exam the system locks the screen, verifies identity through the camera, and logs window switches or a second face in frame. The invigilator sees every candidate on one screen and is alerted to anything that needs a look.

On the teacher’s side, an assistant drafts new questions from the teaching material and tags them to topics in the bank; the teacher reads, edits and approves before anything goes live. For written answers the system gives a first-pass mark against the rubric with its reasons, and the teacher confirms or changes it, so the final mark is always the teacher’s. Candidates get their result with weak topics the same day, and the per-question report tells the teacher what to teach again.

Deciding whether someone cheated stays with people. The system only records and flags unusual behaviour with the evidence attached. If a candidate drops offline mid-exam, the answers already given are kept, and they can rejoin for the time remaining.

How it runs

Work comes in from
  • The teacher’s question bank
  • Teaching material
  • Candidates sitting at home or on site
  • Camera and screen during the exam
What the AI does
  1. Draw a different set per candidate
  2. Mark at once, first pass on written answers
  3. Flag unusual behaviour
  4. Draft new questions for teacher review
Where it lands
  • Results to candidates the same day
  • Per-question report to the teacher
  • Evidence to the invigilator
  • Certificates and the LMS

Before and after

Before
After
Print the paper, book the room, mark by hand, results in a week
Sit it anywhere, marked at once, results the same day
Online, and a second window to search for answers
Screen locked, camera on, every window switch logged
Nobody knows which question most people got wrong
The per-question report tells the teacher what to teach again

What you get

  1. 01

A question bank that randomises a different set per candidate, timed and auto-marked

  2. 02

Anti-cheating with camera, screen lock and behaviour logging during the exam

  3. 03

Per-candidate and per-question reports, delivered the moment the exam ends

  4. 04

An assistant for teachers that drafts new questions from the teaching material and tags them to topics in the bank, for the teacher to check and approve before use

  5. 05

First-pass marking of written answers against the teacher’s rubric, with reasons shown, and the teacher confirming the final mark

Who gets what

Business owner

Run exams more often without booking rooms or hiring markers, and results that can be trusted are what your institute’s certificate stands on.

IT director

Connected to the existing LMS and membership system through its API or LTI. The question bank is encrypted with an audit log of who opened which question, and camera footage is kept for the agreed period and deleted automatically under PDPA.

The team using it every day

Teachers stop marking scripts one by one and get a report of what to teach again. Candidates get their result and their weak topics the same day.
