DNA Maker designed and developed scbam.com for SCB Asset Management, covering the front end, the API and the back office system, which has been in use for more than 10 years.

The client

SCB Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SCBAM) was established on 18 March 1992 and is part of the Siam Commercial Bank group. It holds Ministry of Finance licences to manage mutual funds, provident funds and private funds.

scbam.com has a separate section for each of these businesses, plus a knowledge centre, service channels and company information.

What we built

DNA Maker designed and developed the SCBAM website across the front end, the API and the back office system. The system has been in use for more than 10 years.

Its main job is handling a large volume of fund data: details for each fund, charts, and daily figures such as the NAV shown on the site.

What's inside

The home page carries banners for funds on offer, links to online services (SCBAM Fund Click, SCBAM e-Service, SCBAM Private Fund Online and SCB PVD Online), a real-time SET index panel, the latest NAVs with their daily change, and tabs for fund offerings, news and announcements. The fund list lets visitors browse by goal, such as Morningstar-rated funds, or by investment policy, such as money market, fixed income, equity and mixed funds; each row shows the risk level and daily NAV, and funds can be picked for comparison and sorted by fund code or risk level. Each fund page shows its NAV, the change and a historical chart.

The provident fund section explains employee and employer contributions of 2% to 15% of salary with a diagram and links to SCBAM PVD Online and the PVD Newsletter, while the private fund section compares private funds with mutual funds on investor type, investment amount and tax. The knowledge centre collects SCBAM Market Insight, Fund Finder, Money DIY 4.0 and World Wide Wealth articles in paged listings. The service channel page sets out five ways to buy and sell funds, from the SCBAM Fund Click and SCB Easy apps to SCB branches, selling agents and SCBAM Client Relations, and the whole site is available in Thai and English.
